Batch Alberta Health billing

Save time billing the same codes for each patient by setting up a list of patients who will be billed the same items for the same day. If there are group appointments on the schedule, you can batch bill right from the appointment details which will create a list of patients for you.

Click on the billing menu, select batch billing.

Select an existing list from the left, this will include group bookings of patients, or create a new list.

Creating a new list

1. Click ‘create new list’.
   
2. Enter a list description or name.
   
3. Click ‘add client’, the lookup window will open.
   
4. Search for your patient using first name, last name, or PHN.
   
5. Select them from the list and click ok.
   

 

Creating Alberta health claims for a list of patients

1. Click on the billing menu, select batch billing.
   
2. Highlight the list, the patients will appear on the right.
   
3. Check each patient under the ‘Bill?’ column or click the ‘select all’ button.
   
4. Confirm all patients requiring a bill are selected and click ‘bill all marked’.
   
5. A warning will pop up, click yes.
   

1. Fill in the service and diagnostic codes to apply to the bill.
   

1. Click ok.
   
2. Confirmation of all the claims being generated will appear.
