Search the patient's chart for specific items, but not sure where they are located? Use the search feature within the browse tab.
Click on the browse tab, then select the 'browse all chart notes' button at the bottom.
Click the filter button in the top right corner of the browse tab, a search box will appear, type in a word to find everything with that word within the chart.
The browse
tab displays all charting information, from chart notes, to scans, worklists
etc., in date order.

Click the +
to expand the date along the left to show all items created that date. Double
click on individual items from the list to open it, such as the chart note
displayed above. Depending on what is selected, it may display another tab of
the chart, such as forms or medications.
Filter the
browse list to a specific area of the chart, for example only show chart notes,
or list the forms, using the dropdown at the top of the browse list.

Click the
‘browse all chart notes’ button at the bottom of the list on the left to open
the chart summary. It will have all items from the chart listed, for full
details of all chart notes contents, check off the details box at the top.

- Expand
all – will open all the + dates in the list to show all items for each date.
- Refresh
– this will collapse all the dates hiding the items within each date displayed,
except the last two weeks, this will remain expanded.
- History
– opens a window showing the users who have updated the item, such as a chart
note.
- Export
– Used to export selected chart notes to an HTML or TXT file.
- Clipboard
– copies the patient demographic information, can then be pasted into a word
field such as a letter.
- Print
– opens the print window to print the selected item.
- Edit
– opens the applicable tab the item selected within the chart to make edits as
required.
