Chart confidentiality options

Chart confidentiality options

On a patient chart, many individual items can be marked as confidential, the chart security/disclosure log gives the options to mark the entire chart confidential.

  1. Request to change… - Note any change requests a patient may have.
  2. Mask patient address – Hides the address from everyone beside those with administrator access in HQ.
  3. Mark chart as physicians only – Masks the chart for all clinic staff except practitioners, this also prevents any information flowing up to Netcare.
  4. New use or disclosure event – Option to track when chart information is shared externally, such as referral doctors or insurance companies.
  5. Mark client as confidential – Makes the entire chart confidential to everyone in the clinic except the one making it confidential, this also prevents any information flowing up to Netcare.
  6. Mark client as ‘internally confidential’ – Masks the chart for all clinic staff except practitioners, although patient data WILL display in Netcare.
  7. Mark client as ‘externally confidential’ – Everyone in the clinic can see the patient chart, but NO data will flow to Netcare.
