Client dashboard

Client dashboard

The client dashboard, if activated, will not only show the patient’s name and chart number, but the expanded notes indicators, shown in the highlighted box below.

Expanded notes

Expanded notes are color codes that can be used for many different scenarios within a clinic, and can appear on the client card, charting module, appointment detail window, worklists, billing, or all these locations.

As a clinic group, you must decide what colors to use and what the colors will mean when seen.

Hovering over the color block will show the notes specific to that patient.

Without having a clear guide for what different colors mean, they can quickly become unhelpful and are just another note with a color attached to it.

Expanded Notes have many benefits, some examples are given here.

  1. Quick visual to state something about the patient.
    1. Assign colors to generic situations (Blue for complex patient, Green for patients with preferred pronouns)
    2. Hovering over the color will display the note specific to that patient if needing more detail.
  1. Trigger a specific action or behavior when interacting with the client.
    1. Assign colors to generic situations (Red for patients with payment owing, or Yellow to remind staff to speak loader due to being hard of hearing)
    2. Hovering over the color can share a more specific note such as the value of payment owing.
