Creating patient messaging response templates.

Set up patient messaging templates to increase efficiency in sending messages to patients.

Access response setup from setup > patient messaging response setup, or from patient messaging, next to the new conversation button.



Create new categories

Click new category.


  1. Enter the name.
    1. If limiting the category to a specific site or provider, select those applicable.
    2. If the category is to be available to all, leave these blank.


Create new templates

Click new response.


  1. Enter the name.
  2. Type in the default message in the text box.
    1. Use form fields to pull in specific details (e.g., patient first name)
  3. Add attachments, intake forms, and forms as required.
  4. Save.


Using a response template

Click on new message.

Right click on the text box, select the template of choice, edit as needed specific to the patient prior to sending.
