Creating referral management templates
Although each referral is going to be different, there are
many concepts that remain the same and could be pre-typed.
On the healthquest tabletop screen, click the setup menu and
select ‘referral management templates’.
- Name the template.
- Select the status, priority, in or outgoing, and
the assignee/job class.
- Enter the commonly typed notes in the referral
notes box, this will save time typing it each time, but can also serve as a
prompt to complete something (for example, reminds the practitioner to attach
the documents for the referral).
- Complete the requested practitioner section, for
example the specialty, if creating templates for different specialties.
- Click save.
To use the template on a patient chart:
- Open patient chart
and click the ‘referrals’ tab.
- Click ‘new’.
- Select referral
template, click ‘OK’.
