Customize which appointment statuses should receive reminders
There
are multiple appointment statuses within every clinic to decipher if patients
are booked, checked in, cancelled, done, and more.
Appointment reminders are designed to go out for appointments
that are booked and coming up in the next few days. If a patient cancels,
although the appointment is still visible in the schedule, the reminders should
not go out.
On the Healthquest Tabletop
screen Select Setup > Add Item Types.
Select
‘Appt States’. Under the ‘Send Reminders’ column, check the box for the appointment
statuses requiring reminders. In this example, it is only the appointments in
the ‘Booked’ state that will receive reminders:
Fear not, those cancelled, and late cancelled appointments
will NOT get those reminders!
