Form responses

Response required is a feature that can help streamline the process of tracking patient compliance and follow up. It can help ensure that patients are completing the test in a timely manner. Additionally, it can help to identify areas where additional follow ups are required.

Manually add a response required:

  1. Open the patient chart.
  2. Click the forms tab.
  3. Highlight form from the list.
  4. Select the ‘response req’d – by’ check box.
  5. Enter a date the patient should complete the test by.

Automatically set up a response required criteria.

Setup > Program setup > charting > Select ‘Auto check response req’d on all forms - # of days:’

  1. Select a default number of days. For example, 30 days.
  2. Click apply and ok.
  3. When adding a new form to a patient chart this will be the new default, BUT can be edited specifically for the patient when in the forms tab.
  4. Manually change the date and click save.

Marking a form as a response is received.

Many common requisitions will automatically acknowledge if a result comes in for that form, changing the response received to a 'Y'.
