Gift certificate introduction

Healthquest can track gift certificates, either being purchased or redeemed, enable the feature in setup > program setup > billing, check off ‘gift certificates’.

A couple more items require setting up prior to using the gift certificates.

Add gift certificate to the price list

  1. Under the admin menu, select the price list.
  2. Click insert, a new entry row will appear at the bottom of the list.
  3. Enter an Item ID, such as GIFT.
  4. Enter the description, such as gift card purchase.
  5. Leave the price and cost at 0.00.
  6. Set the type as an adjustment.
  7. Click save.


Repeat this process for a gift card redemption.

Return to the program setup and enter these item IDs into the applicable purchase and redemption fields.



Add gift certificate types

  1. Setup menu > add item types.
  2. Select the gift certificate types radio button.
  3. Click add item.
  4. Enter an Item id, name (abstract column), and a order number (prime ID column).
  5. Click save.
