Gift certificate introduction
Healthquest
can track gift certificates, either being purchased or redeemed, enable the
feature in setup > program setup > billing, check off ‘gift
certificates’.
A couple
more items require setting up prior to using the gift certificates.
Add gift certificate to the price
list
- Under
the admin menu, select the price list.
- Click
insert, a new entry row will appear at the bottom of the list.
- Enter
an Item ID, such as GIFT.
- Enter
the description, such as gift card purchase.
- Leave
the price and cost at 0.00.
- Set
the type as an adjustment.
- Click
save.
Repeat this
process for a gift card redemption.
Return to
the program setup and enter these item IDs into the applicable purchase and
redemption fields.
Add gift certificate types
- Setup
menu > add item types.
- Select
the gift certificate types radio button.
- Click
add item.
- Enter
an Item id, name (abstract column), and a order number (prime ID column).

save.
