Patient Confidentiality

If a patient chooses not to disclose their health information there are a few different ways that you can block the data from being uploaded.

  1. If the patient chooses to not have any information uploaded to Netcare, click on the Security/Disclosure Log. This can be found on the Charting Overview or within the Patient Summary window.

Click on the button labeled 'Mark client as externally confidential'. This will stop any of the patient's data from flowing to Netcare.

You will then see a pop up, click 'yes' to proceed.

Click save in the Security window.

When you next open the Patient Summary window you can see that the confidentiality settings have been updated.

      2. If the patient chooses not to disclose some information, use the 'Empty Reasons' list available in each section of the Patient Summary window to mark that the information was withheld. Then make the  appropriate selections to upload the information that they are comfortable with.
