Referral Management Introduction

Referral Management Introduction

Referral management is a feature used to maintain referrals throughout the full process, for both outgoing and incoming requests. It tracks key information, such as doctors sending and receiving, specialty, reason for referral, and key dates along the referral process.

All sections of the referral have date fields to track when each step is completed, including the guidelines given by the college of physicians and surgeons for referrals.

  1. Within 7 Days: Specialist acknowledged receipt of request.
  2. Within 14 Days: Referring physician notified referral accepted or denied.
  3. Within 30 Days: Report received by referring physician.
