Scans

View scanned documents on a patient’s chart using the Healthquest online app.

  1. Select client/charting from the menu.
  2. Lookup the patient or select from the recent activity list.
  3. Click the scans icon at the bottom to open the list of scan types currently on the patient’s record.
  4. Expand a scan type and select a specific file to review on your mobile device.


Attaching new scans

If you have a document on your device or need to take a picture to add to a patient’s chart, you can do this from your mobile device as well.

This can be done from the charting section, as above. In the scans option within the chart, click on new.

  1. Select a file or take a picture.
  2. Update the labelling of the scan to appear in the patient’s chart.
    1. Edit the date as required.
    2. Select a scan type.
    3. Enter a description for clarification.
    4. Select a practitioner to set as for review.
  3. Click save.

You can also select a file to pull into Healthquest using the scans option on the menu. It will give you the option to attach to a specific patient’s chart, if yes, lookup the patient's name, or PHN. If you click no, it will save the file in the index files within healthquest, for a staff member to link to a patient’s chart.


  1. Search for the patient.
  2. Update the labelling of the scan to appear in the patient’s chart.
    1. Edit the date as required.
    2. Select a scan type.
    3. Enter a description for clarification.
    4. Select a practitioner to set as for review.
  3. Click save.
