Creating a new medication
- On the chart, select the meds tab and 'new'.
- Select a favorite medication, or search in the search bar and click ok.
- For preference of the search box NOT opening every time a new medication is created, check the box highlighted below.
- Complete all required fields, specifically the quantity unit and quantity, OR the quantity unit and the dosage line along the bottom. (The quantity will auto calculate in the background).
*Note, if a favorite has been selected, these fields may already be filled in.
- If the medication is a triplicate, check off the box 'Provincially monitored compound'.
- Confirm pharmacy, e-sign and send, or e-sign to send later.
- Confirmation medication has been sent.

Save commonly
used medications as a favorite, saving time entering all the details in every
time it is used.
Create a
medication on a patient chart, shown above. Once all the details are entered,
click save as a favorite.
Select the group
to add the favorite to, to a specific practitioner or shared for the whole
clinic to use as a favorite.
