Medication statuses

Medication statuses

On a patient’s chart there are four different categories medications will be displayed in:

  1. For review – Medications that require action, statuses such as a renewal request or a send failure.
  2. Draft – Prescription generated but not yet signed or sent/printed.
  3.  Active – Current medications patient is on.
  4. Inactive – Previous medications that are no longer being taken.

When creating a new medication, whether a brand-new prescription or a renewal of an existing prescription, it will start as a draft, only moving to the active medication section once it has been sent through PrescribeIT or printed and saved as active.

To keep the medication as a draft, once all the details have been entered, click save. Return to the medication later by opening the draft section on the meds tab. Click the black triangle on the draft section to expand the display.

If you have medication with a draft status that you don't want to send, you can select the prescription in the draft section of the list and click 'delete' to remove the prescription from the list.

If you would like to remove multiple prescriptions, hold the Ctrl button and click all of the prescriptions to be deleted.
