Rooms setup

Utilizing rooms ensures all staff and practitioners are aware of where patients are in the clinic for workflow and emergency purposes.

 1.       Enable this feature in the program setup.

a.       Setup > program setup > appointment > scheduler setup, select ‘Use appointment rooms’. Choose the number of columns for the rooms to appear on the scheduler with. (This will depend on how many rooms you have).

b.       Setup > program setup > appointment > scheduler setup > select ‘Use rooms state’. (This will activate the ‘room requires cleaning’ button)

      2.       Create and label the rooms.

a.       Appt menu > room setup.

b.       Click new.

c.       Enter a room name, practitioner if only one practitioner uses the room, and the order in which it will appear.

d.       Click save.

Room floors setup

Clinics that have multiple floors will need to set up the floors first, then in room setup, select the floor the room in on as well.

  1. Setup > add item types > highlight rooms floor.
  2. Click add item.
  3. Assign an id, abstract (name), and prime Id (order number).
  4. Click save.

Return to room setup, highlight the room, enter a floor, save.


On the appointment schedule, shift + right click the schedule for that practitioner, type in a day description and a designated floor.

 

Anything in these two boxes will appear along the top of that schedule.
