Scanned documents

Documents that have been sent to the clinic outside of Healthquest, such as a faxed document or paper copy that has been scanned.

 

Access a patient’s scanned documents from many different areas including the charting overview, reference panel, and the client card. 


Images with a yellow triangle icon signifies it has been assigned to someone for review.



To access scanned documents assigned to you for review, they can also be found on the sidebar under show worklists. (Click show worklists, click review scans).

As a practitioner, view assigned scans to you from the doctor view, scanned documents tab; Click here to review more on the doctor view.


Opening a scanned document

Right click on a document from either the overview, the reference panel, or the doctor view, the image will open in a separate window.


If you have been assigned a scan, review the document, and click ‘Mark done’. This scan will disappear from your assigned scans, and the ‘for review’ icon will no longer be visible on the patient overview.

Options within a scan

  1. Rotate page – the current page will rotate 90o clockwise with each click.
  2. Rotate PDF – the full document will rotate 90o clockwise with each click.
  3. New task – opens the worklist window for that patient, as well as a new worklist to complete.
  4. Mark done – appears if the scan is assigned to someone and is not yet reviewed. When the assigned person has reviewed, click mark done.
  5. Print – opens the print window to select your printer.
  6. Details – opens up the window to edit the labelling of the scan.


  1. Save – saves any changes made to the document.
  2. Prev – will open the scan prior to this one in the patient chart.
  3. Next – will open the scan after this one in the patient chart.
  4. Close – closes out the document window.
Right click on the document to add annotations!
