Sending bulk messaging

Sending bulk messaging

Click here to review sending bulk messaging through the patient portal.

Sending messages via text, email, and voice can also be done through the same methods the appointment reminders are sent out.

Example use of bulk messaging:

  1. Messaging to large groups of patients without access to the patient portal.
  2. Sharing clinic updates with all patients (without relying on all patients looking at a clinic website).
  3. Sending requisitions to all patients due for a test. (Add a custom requisition to the message).
  4. Request feedback from patients, sending a survey attached to the message.

Open client list manager (Reports > statistics > client list manager).

  1. Select the list of patients to message or create a new list to send a message to.
  2. Highlight all patients in the current list who should receive the message. (To highlight all, click on one patient then click above the column names to select all).
  3. Click send, select the method to send the message through.

  1. Click the method to send the message, then select the specific contact information, for example a client email address or all appointment reminder email addresses.
  2. The send email window (or text or voice depending on previous selection) will open ready to select a template or type a new message.

  1. Add any attachments or intakes as required using the paperclip icons next to the applicable sections.

*Note the number of emails that will be sent is displayed at the top under the template dropdown. To view the actual list of patients the message will be sent to, look back on the client list manager in the current list box, all highlighted patients will be receiving the message.

  1. Click preview to see what the patient will receive if required.
  2. Click send.
