Treatment plans introduction
Treatment
plans are used by chiropractors and other practitioners such as massage
therapists, physiotherapists, and others.
Please
contact technical support to activate the treatment chart tab to use it, not if
activated, it will be displayed for all staff and practitioners in the clinic.
Create a
new treatment plan for every new patient’s concern.
- Open
the patient’s chart.
- Click
on the treatment plan tab.
The other
option to find the treatment plan is under the client menu, select treatment
plan, search for the patient in the look-up field.
- Click
new, this will open a new blank plan tab.
- If
there are templates saved, these will pop up to select from, click ok.
- Enter
the plan name – this may be helpful to identify the body part requiring the
treatment.
- Select
the practitioner and discipline from the dropdowns.
- The
start date will default to today’s date, change if required.
- Enter
the frequency of appointments the treatment plan will have.
- The
above example shows three appointments per week for 6 weeks, equaling 18
appointments.
- Select
the stage and status from the dropdown options.
- Type
in notes from the encounter in the notes box. (Consider entering the date
first, this will help segregate the notes from one encounter to another.
- Click
save.
*Note, the last visit date, number of visits, and number of future booked appointments will populate based on appointment dates after the start date of the treatment plan.
Complete
the discharge information once the full treatment cycle has been completed.
