Outgoing Referral Process
Dr. Steps
- Dr.
Creates referral letter.
- Click 'New Ref'.
- Select reason for referral from the dropdown, search by starting to type in the box, or type the reason manually. (Optional, but recommended)
- If supplementary documentation is required, make a note of them in the 'referral notes' section.
- Click Save.
If using a form instead of a letter:
- Click Save w/Ref.
- Select New Referral and Ok.
- Assign to a jobclass, or specific employee.
- Type in the reason for referral. (Optional, but recommended)
- If supplementary documentation is required, make a note of them in the 'referral notes' section.
- Click Save.
Additional steps the provider or the referral staff can do.
Add any documents that are
pertinent to the referral, such as a letter/form and any other applicable
documents.
- Click on the
paperclip.
- Select document type, such
as scan, or letter.
- Highlight and click add, the
document name will appear on the right-hand side. (The document will
remain on the patient chart as well).
- Save.

All items are now attached to the referral for easy
management.
